Our payloads transmit their postion, altitude and sensor data in real time during the flight. Anyone with the correct equipment is able to help us track; if you have a radio capable of receiving SSB signals on the 70cm band (usually 434.075MHz or 434.650MHz), you’ll be able to receive the balloon’s signal during the flight! The UK High Altitude Society (UKHAS) have an excellent guide at http://ukhas.org.uk/guides:tracking_guide
Each launch will have it’s own launch announcement with specific information such as frequency, packet format, etc. These will be posted on our website and in the UKHAS Mailing List.
